Meet Mary Benson, the London designer whos already causing a stir with her eponymous label and she hasnt even graduated yet. Currently in the final year of her degree at University of Westminster, Marys already seriously cool blend of colour, print and sporty shapes have already caught the eye of Rita Ora, who wore her current collection at last weekends Wireless Festival.

Tell us about your label...
It's all about my different approach to print using futuristic fabrics, materials and colours. I'm strongly influenced by stained glass, holograms, gothic and Tudor motifs, Pre-Raphaelite, Art Nouveau and translating them into my own new version from the future, into really cool stand out prints.
Whats your design background?
I studied at Leeds Art College before moving to London to do a Fashion Design BA at the University of Westminster, which I'll be finishing next year - but I mainly just like to do my own thing and work to my own timetable. I also worked for designers such as Alexander McQueen
and Richard Nicoll
to get some experience before starting uni.
What drove you to start your own label before youve left university?
