Between the V&A's upcoming retrospective and his impending new album we thought our current Bowie obsession could grow no more. We were wrong. Today the pop legend has released a video for his latest single, The Stars (Are Out Tonight) - and we can't stop watching it.
It stars Tilda Swinton playing Bowie's suburban housewife (and how cool a couple do they make?), while two of fashion's favourite models, Andrej Pejic and Saskia de Brauw, are cast as an obsessive pair of stalkers and Norwegian beauty Iselin Steiro plays a singer bearing quite the resemblance a youthful Bowie.
The video was directed by Floria Sigismondi, who was also responsible for Bowie's 'Little Wonder' video back in 1996, and styled by Jerry Stafford, who has long worked with Tilda Swinton. And seriously stylish it is too. It riffs on the theme of androgyny - Pejic plays a blonde bombshell, sporting heels and a Lanvin jumpsuit no less, with Saskia decked out in a boys black suit and white shirt. Tilda, on the other hand, is perfectly polished in her minimal pink swing coat and cropped cigarette pants.
