Hedi Slimane’s First Look for Saint Laurent

Paris Fashion Week may be starting today but we have until Monday to see Hedi's debut collection for the revered French fashion house Saint Laurent. Or so we thought! Today, ELLE managed to get our hands on a couple of preview images of the most hotly anticipated fashion debut since Raf Simons joined Dior.

Saint Laurent have released these tantalising images showing models reclining elegantly in various pieces of the collection. There’s gold and silver jewellery and some perilously high heels. There’s also a loose-fitted, slashed-to-the-ribs black dress, which recalls the Seventies heyday of the brand. Verdict so far: sleek, sharp and super-sensual. If the pieces work this well in Hedi’s low-lit photography studio, we can’t wait to see them on the catwalk.
