What happens when one of London Fashion Weeks most buzzed-about designers joins forces with the Topshop retail empire? A bat sweater. And a turtle-print denim skirt, schoolgirl pinafore dress and quilted paisley top, of course.
The range, Andersons first high-street collaboration, bears many of the signatures that have come to command showgoers devotion. Theres the paisley to starta highlight of his spring summer 2012 collectionand a couple of iterations of his knockout varsity jacket.
Its not just clothes, either: Anderson took the idea of the supermarket as his theme, opening the door to non-fashion items like marker pens, slap bands and sweets.
The designer said he was very excited to work with Topshop.
It gives me the opportunity to reach a much wider audience with my designs, he said. It has always been very important to me that my collections are made accessible to anyone interested in fashion and design.
