Michael Van Der Ham by Clym Evernden
Award-winning illustrator Clym Evernden put his lightning-fast sketchbook skills to work for ELLE at the Michael Van Der Ham show on Monday.
The colour combinations in the collection were stunning, often layered and busy rather than clear graphic colour blocks, Evernden said of the collection. Prints and graphics were extremely sophisticated, varying from tiny floral prints peppered with obscure dashes of colour, to bold, organic washes of colour and shape.
Everything seems to be derived from a natural source.... Grace Jones' distinctive voice on the soundtrack added to the sultry atmosphere.
