Gabbana protests court moves

Stefano Gabbana lashed out on Twitter against revived tax evasion allegations after Italys highest court decided to overturn an earlier judgement absolving the designer and Domenico Dolce of charges.

Ladri!!!, meaning thieves in Italian, Gabbana tweeted about the Italian courts on Thursday. They dont know what to do to get money out of us.

Gabbana hastily deleted the comment, later tweeting, Its really true that in Italy they do what they want...as they please...Perhaps it would be best to leave...

Last Wednesday, Italys highest court overturned Judge Simone Luertis April decision to clear the designers of the charges. The decision means that rather than avoiding a trial, the charges will be re-examined before a new judge.

A lawyer for the designers accountant, who is included in the indictment, told WWD he was extremely surprised by the new ruling.

The investigations into alleged tax evasion have been ongoing since 2008.
