As a special Christmas gift to one and all, Marant is allowing us all to have a piece of the soignée-sexy action. The designer has collaborated with Gap Red on a limited edition t-shirt to help raise funds for Global Fund AIDS programmes in Africa. And its a classic. Heather grey, with a slouchy boy cut thats and a beguiling splash of colour, its a piece that solves a multitude of wardrobe dilemmas.
Isabel Marant said of the collaboration, I am very thrilled that Gap has given me the opportunity to contribute to such an important cause. This is one of those rare occasions when fashion can do something to help make the world a slightly better place. I am more than honored to follow in the steps of the impressive collaborators who have worked on the RED project before me.
Previous designers to work together with Gap Red in raising awareness for World Aids Day include Solange Azaqury-Partridge and Converse. The programme has raised over £109 million for The Global Fund to fight Aids, Tuberculosis and Malaria, since its inception.
Every t-shirt sold will give 50% of its profits to the cause, so its practically a no-brainer. T-shirts go on sale on Monday 28th November.More
