Anndra Neen wins 2011 Dorchester Fashion Prize

Judges have named Anndra Neen, a jewellery label designed by sisters Phoebe and Annette Stephens, as the winner of the 2011 Dorchester Fashion Prize.

Judges have named Anndra Neen, a jewellery label designed by sisters Phoebe and Annette Stephens, as the winner of the 2011 Dorchester Collection ashion Prize.

The talent for this years shortlisted designers was extraordinary, and to have won is an honor, the designers said, calling the recognition overwhelming.

The Fashion Prize and this type of exposure will help take our company to the next level.

The Stephens sisters launched their label in 2009 with an emphasis on mixed-metal pieces hand-crafted in Mexico City, where they were raised. They will receive $40,000 in prize money and space to showcase their work at Hotel Plaza Athenee during Paris Fashion Week in March 2012.

Phoebe and Annette are third generation artists whose pieces are so purely creative, said Ruth Runberg, buying director at Browns, the brands UK stockist. The first Anndra Neen piece I fell in love with was a mixed metal evening clutch like none Id ever seen. Their work has a unique signature that is all their own and in an industry full of derivative collections, this is something special.
