Does this look familiar? Yesterday, we received a sneak peek at Mary Katrantzous forthcoming collection for Topshop. We were under strict instructions not to share images of the dress, but since someone who didnt get the message tweeted a pic, were happy to bring it to you now.
As you can see from the snap on the left, the designer found inspiration for her spring summer 12 Topshop range very close to homein her own autumn winter 11 mainline collection. With its chinoiserie-inspired print, lampshade skirt and riveting colour combination, this dress boasts all the hallmarks of a Katrantzou runway classic, at a sliver of the price.
Its great news for fans of Katrantzous aesthetic who dont have the resources to obtain one of her precious Faberge egg-inspired designs. As for the 18 clients who spent about £8,800 each to snag one of Katrantzous demi-couture Jewel Tree dresses... shouldve gone to Toppers, ladies.
