Karl Lagerfeld, who recently joked that he should rename himself Karl Labelfeld due to his proliferation of branded side projects, will launch a mass-market womens fashion brand called Karl at Paris Couture Week in January.

The Karl line will feature pieces the designer refers to as street and rock: silver jeans, black cocktail dresses, denim and leather.
Its my todays taste and style and a reflection of how I think a great number of people would like to be dressed now, Lagerfeld said.More
