As an abrupt yet welcome change in the weather sent us scrambling to retrieve summer clothes from attics and storerooms, the international fashion shows (yup, still happening) also heated up.

Dolce & Gabbana spiced up proceedings with a liberal dose of pasta-sauce ingredients, while Gucci turned to the 20s for its Hard Deco collection. Gucci also threw a lavish 90th birthday party to open its new museum in Florence.
Midweek, we shifted our attention to Paris. We thought that Raf Simons might replace Stefano Pilati at YSL; then we didnt. We looked at a Pierre Balmain video, then watched the watchers stand to attention at Balenciaga.
In the midst of so much out-of-town action, we couldnt help but grow a bit nostalgic for LFW. Luckily, we met the girls behind The Coveteur, who brought us back to the beauty of the London shows with their backstage imagery. It was Burberry, howevernot The Coveteur-beloved Peter Pilotto and J.W. Anderson showsthat claimed the crown as LFWs most buzzed-about show.
