Between the disused warehouse setting, the sauna-like temperatures and the pumping soundtrack, watching the Just Cavalli show felt a bit like being at a rave. Which wasnt far from the vibe of the collection - the spring offering was apparently heavily influenced by summer music festivals.
The models, plaits at the front of the hair, stormed the runway in metallic jeans, studded waistcoats and trailing chiffon pieces. All the hallmarks of a summer of love were there - dream catcher-like lacing, Navajo leather fringing, Mongolian hair jackets and flowing bohemian printed dresses.
There were hints of a Kate Moss-style festival wardrobe in the tiny shorts, fedoras and studded waistcoats. And when, at the end of the show, girls took to the catwalk with snake and leather-clad boys in tow, they could have been a model and rock star boyfriend heading into Glastonbury. Cavalli girls take note.
