Margaret Howell's perfectly styled summer

A soundtrack of the Beach Boys and Joni Mitchell may have injected some much needed West Coast sunshine into a chilly Sunday morning at Margaret Howell, but the vibe of the collection was more Cornwall than California.

Blue and white sriped cotton smocks, sailor fronted cropped trousers, navy blue and oilskin yellow anoraks and cosy Breton sweaters were all perfectly for a days stylish rockpooling. For those of us stuck in the city next summer there were striped button-down shirts and linen blazers, pintucked knee length skirts in sun bleached red and yellow and simple silk tees.

Efforlessly stylish, easy to digest and classic Margaret Howell - the perfect start to the day.
