Phoebe English

After wowing the fashion pack back in February with a collection made almost entirely of hair, Phoebe English managed to drop jaws once again. Questioning the literal boundaries of knit, the way to wear wool was interpreted in diverse decorative detail with dramatic tassels, raw edges and leather inserts on layered shift dresses and cropped tops worn over high waisted skirts.

Alice Lee

Opting for knitwear usually means sacrificing style for comfort, but the rulebook has been re-written for Spring 2012. In a modest monochrome palette with flashes of red and streaks of turquoise, design duo Alice Smith and Lee Farmer made intricately handcrafted knitwear sexy with seductively short hemlines, plunging necks and powerful epaulettes.

Shao Yen

Blowing sexy out of the water Shao Yen's collection was as aggressive as it was romantic. With bondage straps holding up fluid silk gowns and satin chaps running parallel to gossamer wools there were echoes of S&M subversions along with Yen's trademark experimental play on unconventional materials and abstract silhouettes.

Malene Oddershede Bach

Sharply focused and beautifully tailored, Malene Oddershede Bach's vision of Spring 2012 is the epitome of understated elegance and the very essence of femininity. Simple but effective, dresses were sexy, suits were sharp, waists were cinched and blazers became capes. Distinctly wearable and effortlessly chic, Bach's collection is an indication of what we're going to want in our wardrobe's next season.
