Manolo on Kate Moss's shoes

Manolo Blahnik and his team worked to exacting specifications to perfect Kate Mosss wedding shoes ahead of the supermodels mid-July nuptials.

We did them five times to get them the way she wanted, Blahnik told WWD. The shoes arrived the day before and there were too many jewels on the heel because of the long train. So we had women working up until midnight to change it. Ive known Kate since she was a little girl. The wedding was divine. Kate has such a presence. You just have to feel it.

Blahnik customised a pair of his delicate Godichefac high-heeled sandals (retail version pictured here) with crystals and a blue sole for Mosss wedding day.

Despite his considerable efforts, it seems Moss wasnt certain which shoes she would wear until the very last minuteshe also commissioned a pair of bespoke shoes from Christian Louboutin, and bought a back-up pair from Louboutins London store. Maybe they went with one of her numerous costume changes?
