Tommy Hilfiger to open biggest UK store

Tommy Hilfiger is preparing to open its largest UK store on Brompton Road, the Knightsbridge shopping avenue that also houses Harrods, Mulberry and Burberry.

The 8,288-square-foot space will serve as Hilfigers European flagship once it opens on November 24.

As the birthplace of preppy style, England is very close to my heart, Hilfiger said in a statement. London, rich in culture, history and art, is the perfect location for us to anchor our largest UK flagship store, and offer our customers the complete classic American cool Tommy Hilfiger lifestyle.

Decor at the new store will emulate that of the brands global flagship in New York, with polished walnut fixtures, vintage props and antique furniture communicating the preppy vibe.

The store will carry Hilfigers mens, womens and childrens runway lines and denim collections, as well as a range of mens tailoring.

The store joins more than 1,000 Hilfiger stores worldwide.
