The most ‘shopular’ items online
Sometimes, learning that a £9,000 handbag has sold out within moments of going live on a shopping website makes us ponder the laws of supply and demand (among other things).

Surely, said e-tailer would anticipate that said handbag would elicit desire among its moneyed shoppers... why not stock more?
Apparently, there are some products that fly off of virtual shelves more swiftly than even the most nimble e-tailers can restock them. Heres Holli Rogers, Net-a-Porters buying director, on the most popular items on the site:
No matter the quantities we carry, we can never have enough Louboutin pumps, Victoria Beckham Dresses, McQueen skull scarves, Proenza Schouler PS1 bags or YSL Arty rings, she told the NYPosts Alexa magazine.
Just imagining all of those items in one outfit makes us smile... Priceless, isn't it?
