CSM students put their stamp on Pringle
Its a rare treat for fashion students to see their designs taken out of the studio and amplified to the scale of an established fashion brand. Thats exactly what happened to a select group of Central Saint Martins MA Fashion students who created a capsule collection of knitwear pieces inspired by Pringle of Scotlands archive.

Drawing on 196 years of production, students worked with Pringles knitwear technicians to produce twelve designs referencing the companys history. Viktor Smedinge, Yeori Bae, William Hendry, Estefania Cortes Harker and Timur Kim created 12 different designs for The Archive Project. The result encompasses Baes colour-block twinset, Smedinges graphic scribble jumper and Kims abstract riff on the classic argyle-patterned sweater.
It has been a great experience for the MA Fashion students to work with Pringles heritage and expertise in this collaborative project, Professor Louise Wilson said in a statement.
The project, first introduced to the press in February at LFW, included a research strand alongside the collection design. Students from the history and theory pathway of CSMs BA Fashion Course researched and catalogued Pringles existing archive, and organised a day of record at which members of the public brought vintage Pringle pieces to be evaluated and accessed to the archive.
