Riccardo gives Jay-Z/Kanye album his golden touch

Although all of Riccardo Tiscis energy must be focussed on this evenings couture presentation, the Givenchy designer recently threw his creative efforts behind another project: a CD cover.

Tisci designed the artwork for Jay-Z and Kanye Wests forthcoming collaborative album, Watch the Throne.

The gold-look cover features sunray motifs and detailed embossing of shapes familiar from recent Givenchy collectionswere thinking of the origami leather gowns from the last couture collection in particular.

Its a fitting cover for an album that has been in the works for nearly a year, and one that Kanye West described as very dark and sexylike couture hip-hop.

Were we to judge the album by its cover, wed be placing our pre-orders...
