How does Guccis garden grow? Super-stylishly, of course as Team ELLE discovered when the brand visited the #ELLEFashionCupboard to create a botantically inspired pop-up window. So its little wonder that the brands Flora garden at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show has been awarded one of the events top prizes: a prestigious Silver-Gilt medal.
The garden was inspired by Guccis iconic Flora motif, designed in 1966 in homage to Princess Grace of Monaco. The whimsical design of flowers, fruits and insects has since adorned scarves, bags and dresses, and inspired a fragrance but this year, it has been brought to life by award-winning gardener Sarah Eberle, first in the #ELLEFashionCupboard, and at Chelsea.
Featuring 37 colours representing the four seasons, the Chelsea garden is every bit as luxurious as the fabric that inspired it and was admired by guests including Lady Mary Charteris wearing (what else?) a Gucci Flora silk dress. Plus, to celebrate, an exclusive Flora collection is available at the brands Sloane Street boutique.
Princess Grace would have been proud. We certainly are.
