It’s the hot topic on the lips of the fashion world this week, following the early departure of Gucci's creative director Frida Giannini: what will happen next at Gucci?

Under the temporary helm of the brand’s in-house accessory designer Alessandro Michele (who also happens to be the front-runner for the new creative director role), the menswear show in Milan appeared to take the brand in a completely new direction - and we think this might be a hint of things to come.

Here are four things we think might happen on the women's side, if men's was anything to go by:

1. Younger, cooler, cleaner: We anticipate a similarly youthful aesthetic at the women’s autumn/winter 2015 show this coming March.

2. New and unexpected faces to walk in the women’s show and feature in its upcoming ad campaigns, in keeping with the new casting direction seen at the men’s show.

3. Bow-neck blouses and socks with sandals: There are certainly plenty of pieces we'll be borrowing from the boys next season.

4. A blurring of masculine/feminine lines. The show notes quoted ‘an attitude not a silhouette’ that promises an androgynous mood.

If that means those natty suits will be reinvented for us girls, then we’re definitely game.
