Henry Holland, the purveyor of all things day-glo and joyful, is releasing an – untypically neutral, but very tempting nevertheless – collection of underwear in Selfridges this weekend.
The range comes in a soft grey marl with Holland’s logo subtly featured in the fabric with prices starting at £18, joining his neon collection (which glows under UV light) on the rails.
ELLE exclusively caught up with the designer to talk all things pants.
Who would you like to see in your new range of underwear? Does the name of a certain Olympic diver crop up?
Tom Daley of course, at least I know what he would look like in them so there won't be any hidden surprises. Plus Cara Delevingne and Jourdan Dunn after seeing them in this week's Victoria's Secret show.
Have you ever been caught out – Rhys Ifans in Notting Hill style – in your underpants?
Yesterday! I was still getting dressed when my cleaner decided to come three hours early, she walked in shouting 'hello' and I only had one leg in my jeans.
Who would you like to send the gift of underwear to and why?
Prince Harry - to try and keep his Vegas antics under wraps.
Who is your underwear hero?
My boyfriend David as he is pretty much the only person I get to see in underwear in real life.
And – can you talk us through your hair routine? How do you keep your quiff up so valiantly, and in all weathers?
Electricity, I lick the light socket on the way to work. Only joking, I swear by Bumble and Bumble surf spray and red Dax.
What is your favourite area of Selfridges (apart from your own merchandise) and what would you grab from the store on a Supermarket Sweep-style dash around?
The new men's shoe gallery. I would grab the Prada brogues with the trainer sole
