We’re still feeling a warm royal glow after Prince George’s christening yesterday so the launch of Hobbs’ ‘Collection No. 1’ today is perfectly timed.

The brand has teamed up with Historic Royal Palaces to create a capsule collection inspired by its dress archive. Hobbs rifled through the Royal Ceremonial Dress Collection, which contains pieces that date back to the 17th century. So there are coat inspired by guardsmen’s overcoats worn at the Tower of London, leather boots that echo royal riding boots and chain link details taken from a royal constabulary helmet.

And, continuing the thoroughly patriotic theme, the limited collection is made using British manufacturers.

It’s available right now from five Hobbs stores and online at www.hobbs.co.uk, prices start at £69.
