The campaign features ELLE cover star Jagger wearing the limited-edition anniversary jeans, seated against a rosette of fanned-out, denim-clad legs. She also appears in a cabaret-themed video to promote the anniversary products.
The four new jeans styles—the 10th Anniversary Jean (a new version of the Nico), striped Leeloo, zip-front Juliette and embroidered Art Deco Jean—will launch into Donna Ida, Selfridges and My-Wardrobe.com this autumn.
‘I’m really into street art and for our 10th anniversary pant, I drew inspiration from the world renowned Futura,’ Hudson Creative Director Ben Taverniti said of the 10th Anniversary Jean, heading to Donna Ida’s shelves soon. ‘I wanted this pair of jeans to symbolize the essence of Hudson: British cool and made in the USA.’
The fact that Taverniti and co chose Jagger to embody these values comes as no surprise to the ELLE team, who enjoyed getting to know the model during her fashion shoot for the July issue.
‘Her personality really won me over,’ Fashion Director Anne-Marie Curtis said. ‘Chatty, friendly to everyone and with not an ounce of rock royalty nonsense that you might expect, she talked about the end-of-year college project she just finished. She really is just a normal, funny and very engaging girl.
'She also has a very good eye and I have no doubt that though her modelling career will last as long as she wants it to, she may well end up on the other side of the camera. In other words, she’s got the lot.’
