Hunter has recruited Burberry Prorsum’s former senior womenswear designer, Niall Sloan, as its global design director.

Niall spent ten years working on a number of key roles at Burberry and now he’s bringing his expertise to another classic British brand.

The news follows a series of high profile recruits to Hunter: Alasdhair Willis – serial creative entrepreneur and Mr Stella McCartney – joined Hunter in February as creative director.

The boot brand, which was established in 1856, is a favourite of fashionable festival goers including Kate Moss and Sienna Miller.

And CEO James Seuss is understandably excited about assembling his new high-fashion swat team.

‘I am very pleased that Hunter has been able to attract such a talented group of individuals to join our team, as we continue to build this iconic brand,’ he says. ‘Starting with autumn/winter 2014, we plan to unveil a new brand and product direction, now that our senior management team is in place’.

These boots are made for evolving: watch this space.
