The latest issue of Collections boasts 186 pages brimming with in-depth interviews, a kaleidoscope of catwalk colour and a Monopoly-style game customised for fashion fiends.
The issue has the same collectable feel as its predecessors, but this time gains an added dose of sweetness and light—all thanks to the fashion.
‘It feels like a very uplifting, colourful, pretty issue, and it was a huge amount of fun to put together,’ said Avril Mair, ELLE Collections editor. ‘Features like Fashionopoly and the back-page map of the fashion world are funny and clever, but also demonstrate our love and obsession with fashion.’
The issue also features a special focus on London designers. Handwritten Q&As with Erdem, Meadham Kirchhoff and Jonathan Saunders underline the city’s global significance for 2012, making the issue a souvenir for a banner year.
‘It’s a fantastic seasonal resource and a beautiful thing in itself,’ Mair said. ‘The attention to detail on every page and the design touches make this a special piece. It’s a real labour of love for everybody involved.’
