Eight horses with white-clad riders performed a spectacular choreographed dressage that left the audience unable to choose between watching the paddock or the clothes on show.
But when we tore ourselves away we witnessed a South American gaucho inspired collection, beautifully featuring the house's skill with leather. Tight leather trousers and jodphur style jumpsuits were worn with sleek suede and leather jackets and scarf print bandeau tops. Wide leather corset belts cinched over classic white shirts and the Kelly bag was updated in wicker.
It was a fitting and memorable tribute for Jean Paul Gaultier to sign off with.
