On the subject of exciting high street collaborations, Topshop has just announced that they are teaming up with JW Anderson for a collection that will launch in September, with a second drop early next year.

The Irish-born London College of Fashion graduate, who is a favourite among fashion insiders, is working on a womenswear range of jersey, knitwear, denim and outerwear that will also feature some fun extras, such as pencils, memory sticks, Rubik’s cubes, vintage magazines and photography books.

‘I am very excited to collaborate with Topshop,’ said Anderson. ‘It gives me the opportunity to reach a much wider audience with my designs. It has always been very important to me that my collections are made accessible to anyone interested in fashion and design.’

‘The launch with JW Anderson is a new and exciting approach for Topshop to our collaborations,’ said Topshop creative director Kate Phelan. ‘The capsule collection is a best of all his design ideas to date, a sort of must-have wardrobe of covetable pieces by this unique designer. The interesting twist, however, is the cool collectable items that will make up the rest of this collection which JW Anderson has picked himself.’

We’re hoping for a plenty of the knitwear that we love him for, as well as some of the plaid from his autumn winter 2012-13 collection. You can bet there'll be more than a few of the fash pack in the queue for this one.
