Kate Bosworth has taken her friendship with Topshop to another level – showcasing a festival wardrobe in which she had creative input.

The star has now been spotted at Coachella in two ‘sneak preview’ outfits from the upcoming Topshop Festival Collection: a white, laser-cut top and matching shorts paired with flat tan boots and a slouchy bag, and a black midi dress overlaid with a folky gilet.

It’s a world (well, a season) away from the bespoke Topshop sequinned gown Bosworth wore as the face of the brand’s Christmas 2012 campaign, when the sartorial love affair between the two was revealed.

But before thoughts of queuing around the block to catch a glimpse of her modelling her own capsule collection in the window of Topshop’s Oxford Street store run away with you, be warned: she isn’t stepping into the superstar shoes vacated by Kate Moss.

‘It is not a collaboration, and it's not 'Kate Bosworth for Topshop',’ a Topshop spokesman clarified. ‘It's a 360 degree campaign that involves music, clothes, film, journeys and the attitude and energy of British festivals.’

The label is working with ‘a few exciting people’ on the launch of the Topshop Festival Collection in the summer, they added.
