We’ve just got word from across the pond that Utah-born designer has collaborated with Banana Republic on a limited-edition capsule collection, landing in stores in December.

The range features more than 50 pieces including clothing and accessories. What to expect? Sequins, silks, faux fur and prints.

As part of the project Scott has created three original prints, which are playful and bold, featuring vibrant red and violet lips, soft and feminine peonies – inspired by love for gardening – and a statement candy stripe in black, violet and red.

After hosting her catwalk shows in New York for five years, model-turned-stylist-turned-designer showcased her autumn/winter 2013 collection at London Fashion Week in February this year. Her signature sultry silhouettes and intricate designs have made her a huge hit on the red carpet, dressing stars such as Nicole Kidman. Is she excited about this new venture?

Absolutely.

‘Through this collection, we were able to bring our shared vision to life and the end result is a capsule we’re both so proud to call our own,' she says. 'It beautifully combines the ultra-feminine with wearable polish and will bring a sexy confidence to our consumers.'

Banana Republic creative director and executive vice president of design Simon Kneen says that the decision to work with Scott was an easy one.

'She really understands what a woman loves and wants to wear,' he explains. 'Her knack for bringing imaginative versatility and femininity to classic design is something that immediately brought us together as creatives.' And as for the range, ‘the designs created for this collection bring a modern approach to pieces you will love forever'.

The full collection will be available worldwide and online from 5 December 2013 – just in time to make our Christmas list.
