The frayed-edged creations that Alber Elbaz brilliantly crafts for season after season are effortlessly modern and desperately covetable. So you'd be forgiven for letting it slip your mind that the fashion house originally founded by Jeanne Lanvin is actually rather old - 125 years old this year, to be precise.

And today, it has revealed plans to celebrate the milestone via a raft of initiatives across its digital and social media platforms.

From 1 February, visitors to Lanvin.com will be able to see Lanvin archive photos unveiled for the first time, along with archive video footage and original Jeanne Lanvin gouaches (artworks). On Facebook, visitors to the Lanvin page can see a new date of note added to label's timeline each Thursday, while over on Instagram @lanvinofficial, a new item of note from Jeanne Lanvin’s office, located in the historical building at 22 rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, will be unveiled. Pinterest, meanwhile will host a series of boards depicting the houses codes.

Keep up with all the action with #Lanvin125.

Growing older has never looked more fabulous.
