1. Having won the coveted Swarovski prize earlier this year, Alexander Lewis embraced crystals in all forms, with pieces embroidered with rainbows and prisms. Marble prints developed in collaboration with artist Flavie Audi made the collection feel like a beautiful science lesson.
2. Christopher Raeburn branched out from his signature sustainability-focused outerwear to create a collection of very wearable summer clothes. A favourite was a printed khaki short suit, which was tough and feminine at the same time.
3. When six skater girls roll in on a board, dripping head-to-toe in sequins, you know you're in for a treat. The Ashish show was a feast for the eyes, and had us wishing we could look that cool on a skateboard with glitter in our hair.
4. Toga’s debut catwalk show was a feast of rich texture, embroidery and colour, with each look comprised of complex layers of tulle, frills, pleats and print – all in a palette of poppy red, sky blue, yellow and caramel.
5. Tata Naka’s SS16 collection was full of contradictions: bright-coloured prints vs muted metallics, and structured shapes vs ethereal fabric dresses. Great pieces that make a statement without too much effort.
6. At Anya Hindmarch, a mirrored catwalk, ballet dancers and the coolest leotards ever (in our opinion) were a few of our favourite things. There was an understated nod to classic British brands with a pair of Boots boots, John Lewis-inspired bags and a blown-up Mothercare logo that was almost unrecognisable on a mini backpack. Get the piggy bank prepped – you're going to want it all.
