What better way to celebrate the Red Nose Day Designer T-shirt collection with TK Maxx than to invite a famous friend along to try it out?

Shot by world-renowned photographer, Rankin, singer and former ELLE cover star Lily Allen will be fronting the campaign, the profits of which will be donated to Comic Relief in order to help change lives in the UK and across Africa.

So, which design did Lily opt for? The bespoke Henry Holland tee, which features a Lena Dunham quote from the television series, Girls: ‘I think I may be the voice of my generation.’ Well, we’re not arguing with her on that score.

We grabbed five minutes with Lily on the shoot to get to know her funny side…

ELLE: What do people who generally know you laugh at you for?

Lily Allen: Sometimes my mouth does a funny twitchy thing when I drink.

ELLE: Tell us one strange but true thing about yourself.

Lily Allen: One of my feet is a size 7 and the other is a size 6.

ELLE: What’s the funniest thing to happen to you recently?

Lily Allen: Without telling me, my whole band and crew rushed the stage on the chorus of Smile on the last gig of my American tour – all in full fancy dress.

ELLE: Favourite TV show guaranteed to make you laugh?

Lily Allen: I’ve recently discovered Amazon Prime drama, Transparent. It’s about a dysfunctional, Jewish family living in LA, and it’s kind of a cross between New Girl and The Royal Tenenbaums. I watched the whole series in one day.

ELLE: What’s your karaoke song of choice?

Lily Allen: Chandelier by Sia. I sing it before and after every show with my friends.

ELLE: If you could only take one thing to a desert island, what would it be?

Lily Allen: My JBL pulse speaker. It’s small and lights up in lots of colours. It’s like a portable rave and I carry it everywhere with me.

ELLE: What word do you overuse?

Lily Allen: LOL.
