The much-anticipated Loewe Junya Watanabe collection landed in-store at Dover Street Market this week. The collection, featuring both men’s and women’s ready-to-wear as well as accessories, marries Spanish leather with Japanese denim to create a collection that is a real reflection of both brand identities.

Bags are patch-worked with signature Junya denim and tartan on the front, with beautiful buttery leather, synonymous with Loewe, on the back. Highlights include a figure hugging leather biker dress (serious ‘tude) and a denim-jacket-leather-biker-hybrid, which cleverly fuses both labels – the denim body features Junya Watanabe CDG buttons, whereas the leather sleeves are finished with Loewe stamped hardware.

More than just a creative exchange, the collaboration also marks 400 years since the countries first established trade between them, as well as 40 years since Loewe became available in Japan. With the collection reportedly already sold out in Japan, we don’t anticipate it being around for long so get yourself down to Dover Street Market where the collection is currently on sale.
