Day two of London Collections: Men began with a treat: JW Anderson.

The London darling is now as avant-grade with his men's designs as he is with his women's, and this morning he sent his models along the cork runway wearing ribbed jersey polo neck tabards, asymmetric draped and wrapped wool tunic tops and rubber ruffle-fronted shirts, styled with gaffer tape roll bracelets and platform shoes. For those less conceptually inclined there were lightweight leather button up jackets, coloured wool shirts with trousers that had fold-over waistbands, short sleeved sweaters and bright floral short suits. And we're still obsessing over his literal take on the bucket bag.

The Alexander McQueen collection was something of a gothic romance, from the kilts layered over trousers and long, double breasted coats the the black feathers pasted to the models' foreheads. A youthful black and white photograph of Lucien Freud was printed across trench coats and T-shirts, a graphic lines emphasised the strict, slimline silhouette.

Christopher Kane continued his science obsession with a molecule-inspired collection. Enlarged microscopic prints were splashed across sweatshirts an T-shirts in reds and greens and black, and molecular structures were textural knitted onto the front of sweaters. Our favourite piece? A buttery soft black leather parka with an inky blue faux fur lining. We'd never take it off.

James Long played with textures, dressing his blue-haired boys in reversible puckered, quilted block colour jackets and leather mesh bombers woven with ribbon, pairing them with sneakers and mesh jogging bottoms to create hi-tech, futuristic track suits.

And Common is our new favourite find. Designed by a Hackney based Swedish duo, its techno-themed collection covered wool bomber jackets, piped jogging bottoms, slick long shirts and a brilliant puffa/wool coat hybrid. Check it out.

Superdry rounded off the evening with a high octane showcase for their new men's and women's collections and the most exciting front row spot of the week so far: Mr Samuel L Jackson.

Today we're off to Paul Smith, Sibling and Burberry - which we'll be streaming live - so stay tuned...
