This weekend the third London Collections: Men gets underway and we’ll be there to bring you all the latest across the four days. But why, we hear you ask, when it’s all about the boys? Here are seven very good reasons why we’re paying attention:

The Big Hitters
This season the schedule has got serious. Christopher Bailey is showing his support by bringing into the mix, and Jimmy Choo have also joined the line-up and is adding a dash of New York cool to proceedings.

The Crazy
Amongst the sharp tailoring and sporty jackets are the brilliant and downright bonkers creations; see J W Anderson’s neoprene bandeau tops and frill-hemmed shorts or Sibling's brightly coloured leopard and mohair creations from last season for evidence. These give us the opportunity to play our favourite game: could you persuade you boyfriend to wear that?

The First Look
The women’s s/s 2014 shows are just months away which means that that work on them will be in full swing. So at , et al we’ll be looking for clues pointing towards the direction they might take – get it right and we’ll be wearing the trends before they’ve even hit the catwalk.
The Parties
Post-shows there are set to be plenty of opportunities for letting our hair down. The schedule kicks off on Saturday night with a sure to be glitzy store opening and presentation by , J W Anderson is celebrating his partnership with Nikon on Monday and on Tuesday is launching his grooming line. The champagne detox starts on Wednesday.

The Front Row
Back in January Benedict Cumberbatch, Matt Smith, Tinie Tempah, Harry Styles and Harry Treadaway all made appearances alongside front row stalwart David Gandy. This season? Well we hear that David Beckham is at a loose end these days ...

The Atmosphere
Now we love the women’s shows and all the hoopla that surrounds them – the extravagant dressing, the front row politics, the Devil Wears Prada vibe. But we hear that the men’s shows are a little bit more laid back and easy going. Which sounds nice.

The Men
If all else fails to excite you then focus on the obvious. On and off the catwalk there will be an embarrassment of nattily dressed, sweet smelling, seriously handsome men to look at. We can’t wait.
