It's on. London Fashion Week was officially opened at Somerset House this morning by Natalie Massenet, the British Fashion Council's Chairman.

It's already on track to be the most digitally-orientated fashion week to date. With £10.7 billion being spent online in the UK alone, the BFC is determined that British designers should be at fashion's forefront when it comes to tech. Over the past 18 months they've been closely mentoring everyone on the schedule, offering seminars and workshops to help them get everything from their social media to their online stores up and running.

Over the next week Topshop Unique, Burberry, House of Holland, and Hunter Original are just some of the brands partnering with tech companies to make their shows and collections as shopable and accessible as possible to their customers, making it easier than ever to get involved even if you're not sitting front row.

JJS Lee opened the schedule this morning, and the next five days will see shows and presentations from big hitting brands like Marchesa and Tom Ford to emerging names like Shrimps and Ashley Williams.
