The collection was classic Charles - rounded princess collars, loose fitting dresses with gently pleated skirts and towering heels that give the models a Bambi-like appearance, this time in the form of wedge Chelsea boots. Thankfully no-one took a tumble this season.
According to the press release it was a ‘collection of memories’ so it was no surprise that it had a slightly retro, nostalgic feel to it. There were wool hacking jackets and neatly flared trousers, silk blouses and metallic cardigans that were just a little bit prim and slouchy sweater dresses - all perfect for the Parisian girl-about-town with her blown-out hair and winsome look. As for Alexa? We’re guessing she’ll go for the black velvet dress printed with gold clovers.
