If you’ve ever looked at Lorraine Candy, ELLE’s editor-in-chief and mum of four, and thought, ‘I don’t know how she does it’ (or, indeed, ever read her Daily Mail column I don’t know how I do it), now is your chance to find out.
Candy will be one of the keynote speakers at Mumsnet’s inaugural WorkFest: a day of talks, workshops and one-to-one sessions with some of the country’s most successful businesswomen and entrepreneurs, aimed at inspiring a new generation of working mums.
‘I am honoured to be taking part in the first Mumsnet Workfest,’ says Candy. ‘It's important to support women as you move through your own career with as much practical advice as possible, both personally and via your own industry. ELLE has a long history of great career features which have helped many women in their day to day life and I am very proud to have printed many of them.’
Says Mumsnet co-founder Justine Roberts: ‘One of the perhaps unsung advantages of having babies is that it often gives women an opportunity to reset their career path or way of working. But after a period out of the workplace, often what’s needed is a confidence boost.
‘We hope that our line-up of top talent who’ve taken the plunge and successfully marshalled work and family life will provide the inspiration people are looking to make their work, work for them.’
If that’s you, put Saturday, 15 June in your diary now. Earlybird tickets are available via mumsnet.com/workfest costing £75 until Sunday, 21 April, and will cost £95 thereafter.
