Louis Vuitton's latest project

The artist-turned-director is the first of four faces (the rest are yet to be announced) to contribute to the project, starring in a short film and posing for photographs. In the film she talks about a clutch of items that mean a lot to her, from a necklace given to her by her fiance that includes his father's wedding ring, to a postcard of Francis Bacon standing on Primrose Hill.

Taylor-Wood has also posed for photos - but they're not the glossy, digital snaps that you're thinking of. Instead she used one of the oldest photographic processes around, the mercurial collodion process, which involves the sitter having to keep still for 12 seconds while the photo is taken. Needles to say, the results are slightly blurry, silvery affairs, and decidedly atmospheric.
