Lulu Kennedy MBE has designed a collection for Marks & Spencer, we can exclusively reveal.
The founder of Fashion East, famed for championing the brightest and best young talent in the British fashion industry, and of the Lulu & Co label, appeared in the high-street brand's spring/summer 2014 ad campaign alongside Emma Thompson and Rita Ora. And now she has been signed up to create19 pieces for the Indigo Collection.
Inspired by her own eclectic style and her love of Mexico, she's conjured a high summer collection full of laid-back essentials centred around denim. 'My love affair with denim began at an early age,' she says, 'So it was second nature for me to develop a casual range as my first high street venture; working on the Indigo Collection for Marks & Spencer has been very natural and fun.'
