Matthew Williamson is a busy man. Fresh from showing his Spring 2011 collection at London Fashion Week, he last night launched his brand new book with a party at Somerset House. The coffee table tome, entitled simply 'Matthew Williamson', charts his career over the past 12 years and features lots of beautiful, glossy pictures of his shows and most memorable creations. Some of the snaps are being exhibited at Somerset House - make sure you check them out, especially the ones featuring very youthful looking Kate Moss and Jade Jagger.
As well as working on his book the designer has also designed a capsule collection for Net-A-Porter, re-issuing seven of his most memorable dresses and covering them with archive prints.
And, as if that wasn't enough, Williamson has just announced that he's launching a diffusion line. According to WWD, Muse by Matthew Williamson - a little sister to the main line - will make its debut for Autumn 2011. Williamson's business partner, Joseph Velosa, told the site, 'We’ve been in business for 12 years, and we felt the time was right for a diffusion line. We’re confident, the identity of the first line is solid, and we feel like there are very clear parameters for a diffusion line.'
So mark your diaries now. And in the meantime check out who was at Williamson's party last night. Best friend Sienna Miller arrived on the designers arm, sporting a full length dress from his label of course, and with sister Savannah in tow. And Poppy Delevigne, David Gandy, Twiggy and Edie Campbell all turned out to offer their support.
