Exciting news this morning, as fashion’s favourite husky-voiced crooner, Lana Del Rey, returns in a second installment of her H&M campaign – with even more knitwear and jackets in time for the winter cold snap. Photographed by fashion colossus, Sølve Sundsbø – Lana poses in what looks like an underground car park, swathed in winter woolens and a glamorous faux fur gilet.
After David Beckham modelled his underwear collection for the label in February this year, the brand followed their own formula for celebrity success with singer of the moment Lana Del Rey, by featuring her in advertising images for H&M. Her first campaign arrived in September, to a rapturous response to the Priscilla Presley-esque shots, not to mention the concert she played for the launch.
Lana has also proved a lucky charm for Brit brand Mulberry, after whom they named a bag - the Del Rey, in her honour.
We can’t be the only ones enjoying getting wrapped up for autumn in cosy angora and mohair – not to mention the debate raging as to which of the key styles of winter coat we’re going to plump for. Now we've got even more items on our shopping wish list - and an appointment with H&M this lunchtime.
