Diane Von Furstenberg launches shoe collection
A fashion icon herself, Diane, who heads up the Council of Fashion Designers of America has never designed shoes before - relying, like many designers, on Christian Louboutin to supply the footwear for her catwalk shows.
From February Diane's new 12 piece shoe collection will be available in DVF stores around the world as well as in selected department stores and boutiques. Designs will include a must-have-for spring flat, gold sandal, this gorgeous chunky heel, strappy Pava shoe and the aptly named CEO pump - for working girls everwhere, which promises to be not only fashion forward but also office friendly and super comfy.
" I wanted to create power shoes for the woman on-the-go and on her feet," said von Furstenberg of her new collection. "My shoes are not just pretty accessories; they are functional and serve a purpose. Women on-the-go need power, comfort, and fashion."
