Opening Ceremony is paying homage to ELLE cover star Rihanna this month.

The ultra-hip NY boutique is to unveil an exhibition of seven of the singer’s most iconic outfits in celebration of her foray into fashion with River Island.

RIHtrospective will mark the launch of the Rihanna for River Island line, which is exclusive to Opening Ceremony the in the US, next Tuesday.

Seven is, of course, of special significance to RiRi, who last year flew ELLE around the world on her 777 tour to mark seven albums, seven Grammys and seven Billboard awards in seven years.

Rihanna helped hand-pick the looks – among them, the pink mini dress designed by Adam Selman, pictured above, which she wore for last November’s Victoria’s Secret show. They’re a cross-section of her style, ranging from ‘really pulled together or grungy for performances,’ her stylist, Mel Ottenberg, explained to WWD.

RIHtrospective runs at Opening Ceremony's flagship store at 35 Howard Street, NYC for three weeks - definitely worth a browse if you happen to be in the neighbourhood.
