We love House of Hackney for its twisted take on Laura Ashley-style classics. The muscular chintz and ombre finish of its Dalston Rose wallpaper and the hookah-smoking sloths that lounge across the Hackney Empire pattern make a wry delight of interior decoration.
Now, the hip homewares label is following Chloe Sevigny’s lead by designing a clothing collection for Opening Ceremony. Expect baby-doll dresses, graphic tees and bloomers, all run up in the House’s signature subversive patterns.
Label co-founder Frieda Gormley previously worked as a buyer at Topshop, so the fashion cred that already runs through her cushions and lampshades is sure to extend into clothing. Look for House of Hackney in Opening Ceremony stores and online this autumn.
