Paco Rabannes artistic director, Lydia Maurer, is departing the label after just a year at the helm.
In a statement, the House of Paco Rabanne said: Lydia Maurer brought a new spirit of femininity and modernity to Paco Rabanne ready-to-wear. Her work on the s/s 2013 and a/w 2013 shows contributed to raising the profile of the House on the international fashion stage.
It went on to thank her for her contribution and wish her future success.
Having cut her teeth at Rue du Mail and , the 30-year-old German designer was named as Rabannes first lady in June 2012 successor to London designer Manish Arora and said at the time that it was a great honour to be taking on the artistic direction of such an emblematic house at the heart of Parisian creation.
Her saw Mod staples such as tunics, mini skirts and shift dresses given a fresh, space-age twist.
It is not yet known where Maurer is headed, and Paco Rabanne is yet to announce a new designer in the role.
