One of Selfridges’ best selling contemporary designers, strong clothes for modern women needed more rail-space to appease the growing UK thirst for his utilitarian functionality. And house new colours of his sell-out Pashley and new 31 Hour bags...

Lim puts the success of his label down to its consistency, ‘I hear often that it’s something in your wardrobe you can just pull on. I don’t need to have a ‘look’, I never think about impressing the buyers. I just do the job I’m supposed to and I think, if I were a woman right now, what would I want? I try to put myself in her shoes – not literally, but figuratively. I’m an evolutionary designer, not a revolutionary, I build clothes like building blocks’.

The 3.1 Phillip Lim pop up store, on the 2nd floor at Selfridges London, is open until August.
