Ferretti is where you should come for your Autumn Winter eveningwear. Romantic olive, nude and powder blue silk dresses with fine pleats lent a 1920s air with drop waists and beaded bands. Oyster dresses had scoop backs and skirts were made from tickertape tassles.
The coats were particularly strong too. Funnel-necked and full-skirted, mohair cape coats and wool mixed with fur sleeves; they provided strong accompaniments to the feminine dresses.
We also saw the first glimpse of Oscar-worthy gowns; the sheer black, gathered chiffon dress is in line for best supporting role.
