The British Fashion Council has announced that Prince Charles—the tweediest of tweedy, the shiniest of brogue, the most buttoned-up of all Savile Row clients—will host a men’s fashion reception to mark the opening of London Collections: Men this June.

On 13 June, the Prince will welcome Savile Row fixtures and baggy-trousered upstarts alike to the event at St James’s Palace. The reception will inaugurate the UK’s first wholly menswear-committed fashion week.

‘It is a great honour to have the support of HRH the Prince of Wales to launch London Collections: Men and champion British menswear and culture,’ BFC Chairman Harold Tillman said in a statement.

We wonder what he’ll wear...
